OUR HISTORY
Leadership Roundtable was formed in March 2005 following a series of roundtable discussions aimed at offering ideas to assist the Catholic Church in the U.S.
2003
Leaders from worlds of business, finance, academia, philanthropy and the Church meet to discuss ”The Church in America.”
2004
An extraordinary two-day gathering is held at The Wharton School in Philadelphia, bringing together members of the Church hierarchy with leaders from the religious, corporate, and nonprofit worlds. The conference theme is “Challenges and Opportunities in Governance and Accountability for Institutions in Transition.”
2005
National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
2006
Leadership Roundtable partners with McKinsey & Co and the Archdiocese of New Orleans to restore the Catholic school system in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
2007
Catholic Standards for Excellence for Parishes, Dioceses and Nonprofits are published.
2008
“An Assessment Tool for Parish Ministry” is published.
2009
Cardinal Francis George, President of the USCCB, hosts a national meeting of bishops and representatives from Leadership Roundtable to respond to the economic crisis.
2010
After a presentation at a Leadership Roundtable conference, Larry Bossidy, former CEO of Allied Signal/Honeywell, works as executive coach with Bishop Barres of Allentown, PA.
2011
First Regional Roundtable on Church Management, Finances and Human Resources held in San Francisco, CA.
2012
Leadership Roundtable partners with the Archdiocese of Baltimore and the Association of Catholic Publishers for the inaugural Mid-Atlantic Congress for Pastoral Leaders.
2013
Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jim Dubik is elected Chair of the Board.
2014
Leadership Roundtable’s Executive Director, Kerry Robinson, addresses an international meeting of treasurers of religious communities at the Vatican.
2015
Leadership Roundtable works with partners to incubate the Drexel Fund, a venture philanthropy fund that invests and partners in the growth of high-quality, financially sustainable networks of faith-based and other private schools.

The National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management becomes Leadership Roundtable
