Tara Burgess serves as Senior Director of Finance and Operations at Leadership Roundtable, focusing on strategic operational planning leading to enhanced processes, cost savings, and systems development. Tara leads and manages all functions relating to finance, human resources, infrastructure, compliance, and administration, and guides our Fellows Program. Her mission is to enhance and improve experiences for all Leadership Roundtable stakeholders including clients and partners, donors, board members, employees, and consultants.
Previously, Tara worked at a digital marketing agency based in Arlington, Virginia for 11 years, growing with the organization during two acquisitions. There she supervised a talented team of financial and administrative staff where they increased operational performance, created pricing methodologies, and collaborated with the account team ensuring consistently competitive and profitable client services.
Tara is originally from Texas and attended high school in Bentonville, Arkansas. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She met her husband while attending college and they moved to Washington, DC in 2008. They currently reside on Capitol Hill with their dog, Millie.
