This summer, we surveyed more than 3,000 Catholics to measure the progress the Church has made in restoring trust and building a culture of transparency, co-responsibility and accountability. Our goal was to understand if we are making progress in our mission, as well as understand what matters to Catholics today as we shape the work we’ll provide to the Church in the years ahead.
Our survey results highlight a moment of great hope. Catholics today are engaged, and show strong and deep trust, particularly in their local parishes and leaders. But their trust and engagement is tenuous, and they are hoping to see continued progress in building transparency and accountability from their Church.
