Among his books are the best-selling “The Jesuit Guide to (almost) Everything: A Spirituality for Real Life,” “Learning to Pray: A Guide for Everyone,” and “Building a Bridge: How the Catholic Church and the LGBT Community Can Enter into a Relationship of Respect, Compassion, and Sensitivity.” Some of his ministry focuses on building inclusivity for LGBTQ Catholics that is grounded in Christ’s love and Catholic teaching. Fr. Jim is a frequent commentator in the media about issues of religion and spirituality and sought-after public speaker.
